Grenada doesn’t try to be just another Caribbean beach town. The island layers rainforest trails, cocoa and spice farms, and the world’s first Underwater Sculpture Park onto its coastline.
Grenada’s hotels are earning notice, too. Two of the island’s top properties have picked up recognition most Caribbean resorts never see, including a MICHELIN Key distinction and a run of AAA Five Diamond awards. Heading into fall and winter, three of Grenada’s leading hotels are adding new perks for guests who book a stay.
3 Hotels, 3 Separate Honors
Calabash Hotel earned Two MICHELIN Keys this year. That’s one of the highest hotel distinctions given out anywhere in the Caribbean.
Spice Island Beach Resort has held AAA Five Diamond status for close to a decade, a rating fewer than a dozen Caribbean resorts hold.
Silversands Grand Anse has the longest infinity pool in the Caribbean, an independently verified 330 feet long. The resort is built as much around design as it is around the beach.
What Each Hotel Is Offering This Season
Each property is leaning into what already makes it stand out. None of the three perks look alike, and each rewards a slightly longer stay:
- Calabash Hotel: Book four nights or more between Nov. 1 and Dec. 15 and get a suite upgrade when available, plus a resort credit for the spa, restaurants or bars. Its restaurants use ingredients grown at the Garbutt family’s nearby estate, where guests can walk the trails and learn about Grenada’s agricultural roots. The hotel just added six new suites designed by Grenadian firm IK Architecture, including two penthouses.
- Spice Island Beach Resort: Booking a stay in October includes a beachfront dinner for two. Guests also get the resort’s usual complimentary kayaking and tennis. An on-site yoga retreat pairs certified instructors with everything from gentle stretching to more intense classes.
- Silversands Grand Anse: Guests who book four consecutive nights get the fourth night included, with breakfast. The resort is known for its infinity pool and design-forward villas along Grand Anse Beach. Larger villas add a private pool and a full kitchen for guests who want more space.
Grenada isn’t trying to compete with the Caribbean’s busiest islands. That’s exactly its appeal.
A slower-paced beach doesn’t mean a boring trip here, not with rainforest hikes, spice tours and a sculpture park sitting under the waves nearby. If that sounds better than another crowded resort strip, fall and winter are shaping up to be the right time to go.
