Families crowded into a pool full of glow sticks and danced right in the water. A giant Humpty Dumpty balloon bounced over the crowd as Lenny Pearce performed from above. That Friday night was one of four shows he played at Beaches Turks and Caicos this month.
Pearce is the viral artist behind Toddler Techno, a show that turns favorite childhood songs into high-energy dance remixes. He’s taken it to some incredible places, but he said the Caribbean was “a whole different vibe.” “They’re relaxed, they’re happy and the only thing on the agenda is having a good time,” he said about families on vacation.
Fall Fam Jam Brought Toddler Techno to the Caribbean
Over six days, Pearce took his family rave from an open-air stage to three of the resort’s pools. That gave families a few different ways to join in during their stay.
Fall Fam Jam is Beaches’ yearly celebration of family travel. You’ll find it through October at this family-friendly all-inclusive resort and at Beaches Negril in Jamaica.
4 Sets, 4 Settings
Every show came with its own twist, whether that meant fireworks or giant pool floaties. Here’s how the week played out.
- Sept. 16: The week kicked off with Bubbles Before the Beats, a pre-show party where VIP guests got to meet Pearce. Afterward, he took the stage at the French Village Open Air Theatre.
- Sept. 17: The party moved to the 15,000-square-foot pool at the new Treasure Beach Village for a daytime set. Kids in neon Beaches sunglasses danced as giant gummy bear and rubber ducky floaties drifted by.
- Sept. 18: The French Village pool hosted the glow stick party. Pearce’s fan-favorite character, Kuma, popped up throughout the set. Fireworks ended the night.
- Sept. 21: Pearce wrapped up the week at the Italian Village pool. His sun-soaked final set took place at the resort’s Trivie tower.
A Few Famous Faces Joined the Crowd
Longtime friends Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz, who both appeared in the “Twilight” movies, vacationed at the resort with their families. They joined in on the shows, too. “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy also spent the week there with her family.
You may also recognize TV personalities Giannina Gibelli and Blake Horstmann, who joined the fun as well. Horstmann and his son even got behind the beats with Pearce during the Treasure Beach pool party.
Kidz Bop Heads to Beaches Turks and Caicos in October
If you missed the pool parties, there’s still plenty happening this fall. Kidz Bop will stop by Beaches Turks and Caicos Oct. 1-5. New Sesame Street experiences and more toddler activities are also on the schedule.
If your kids already know every word to a Kidz Bop song, you might want to save those dates. After all, Fall Fam Jam is made for the whole family to get in on the fun.
