The Caribbean is full of resorts, but they aren’t all luxury, and some are for adults only. When a family finally gets away for that much-needed vacation, resorts need to have plenty to do for all ages so everyone can do a little bit of their own thing.

The five resorts below will meet just about every need a family could have when looking for a luxury vacation. Be sure to check out why destination dupes are the newest travel craze before you book.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall in Jamaica

The Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall is a lovely resort in Montego Bay that caters to all ages. Families can snorkel and kayak, play beach volleyball or build sandcastles together.

For young kids, the resort offers a plethora of activities, such as beach sports and arts and crafts by day and PJ parties at night. Teenagers will enjoy hanging out with kids their own age in the Teen Club.

Mom and Dad can also relax and recharge. The relaxation pool is perfect for hanging out with a good book. Other options are chef-led cooking demonstrations or getting a massage at the Zen Spa. The whole family can meet up for dinner at one of the fabulous restaurants to catch up and plan their activities for the next day from this list of things to do in Montego Bay.

Most of the luxurious suites sleep up to four or opt for connecting rooms. Enjoy luxurious robes and slippers and a mini bar that is restocked daily with soft drinks, water and cold beer.

Hilton Rose Hall

If a waterpark is more your family’s style, consider a trip to Hilton Rose Hall. Located on 400 lush acres between the sea and the mountains, you might never want to leave.

Kids will love Sugar Mill Falls, one of the largest waterparks in Jamaica. They can participate in treasure hunts and karaoke with the Kids Klub. Teens can play foosball, and console and arcade games in their own space. Mom and Dad can get away to the Radiant Spa and Cinnamon Hill Golf Course or enjoy some alone time on the private beach.

When it’s time to eat, choose from six restaurants, including Caribbean, Italian and Asian. After dinner, check out nightly entertainment, such as live music, dancing and shows.

All the accommodations are upscale modern, with either a private balcony or terrace. Book a mountain or ocean view. For a larger family, enjoy one of the luxurious suites that can sleep five, or opt for connecting rooms. Check out a handful of other Jamaica all-inclusive resorts.

“My husband Adam and I are true beach lovers. One island that we keep going back to time and time again is Jamaica. We loved it so much that we even got married on the beach in Negril. We like to stay at a luxury all-inclusive resort on the beach where we can do as little or as much exploring as we want. On our most recent trip to Jamaica, we brought our two toddlers with us and took full advantage of the resort Kids Club and on-site babysitters for a night out.”

Parents can head to the Aura Spa for a massage, check out the wine and tequila tastings or just spend time together at the pool with a frozen daiquiri in hand.

For a family dinner, choose from seven restaurants, including Mexican, Italian and Asian cuisine. After dinner, enjoy the nightly entertainment, from mariachi bands to themed parties and live music. Choose your adventure park from snorkeling to swimming in cenotes to zip lining. For the natural wonders of Mexico, Xcaret Park has 50 natural attractions in this one park alone. If parents want to spend a little time unwinding at the spa or adults-only pool, kids can check out the Kids Club.

When it’s time for dinner, the Mexican food at Xcaret is incredible, but you’ll have other choices like international cuisine, dinner and show and desserts like creamy milkshakes and cotton candy. Ask a concierge to help you choose what’s best for your family.

With 900 suites, it’s hard to choose. Many guests select the Casa Tierra building as the suites are meant to accommodate families. It’s also close to the beach and main pool and has the best views. Be sure to check out this list of more Mexico all-inclusive resorts.

“I love family resorts in the Caribbean. We always research where we stay because even chains aren’t consistent from location to location. Some have amazing food, while others fall down in that regard. We always make sure to book resorts that include the types of activities my family enjoys. We didn’t do that one time and assumed everyone would be fine, but it really made a difference in our enjoyment of the vacation, so we learned our lesson.”

Older kids will love the latest virtual reality simulators and Formula 1 racing at the Teen Club. While the kids enjoy their activities, Mom and Dad can check out the underground sanctuary spa or have a margarita at the swim-up bar.

Dinner means choosing from eight restaurants offering everything from fresh fish to burgers to local cuisine in an upscale or casual alfresco dining experience. You get to choose, and it’s all included.

The rooms at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana are comfy and spacious, with some even having balconies overlooking the ocean. Some rooms even have a swim-up entrance.
