Not your regular concert experience

Going to a concert often means dealing with less-than-ideal parts of the experience. Long lines, crowded pits or far seats where performers look like ants are some of the reasons why people are paying a pretty penny for a premium experience.

Venues now offer premium packages that include priority entry, the best seats in the house and dining options that are not just hotdogs and beers. Imagine eating a delicious chicken masala while enjoying a Beyoncé set.

Fans love the option to watch the show in style, even if it means spending a lot of money. Social media is also fueling this trend, as many share luxurious experiences online, inspiring others to enjoy live music in an elevated way.

Private suites and lounges worth a downpayment

If you want to watch a concert in comfort, you’ll need a private suite or lounge. At Madison Square Garden in New York City, suite prices can range from $8,000 to $60,000, depending on the performer. With the steep price, you’ll get unbeatable views and high-end amenities, allowing you to enjoy the show in an intimate setting. These perks include an in-suite bar, a VIP entrance, a private restroom and a premium menu. It’s perfect for hosting corporate events or for those who can afford to splurge on a special occasion.

Most stadiums have press boxes, which are traditionally sections for media coverage. However, SoFi Stadium has transformed its press box into a luxurious space where fans can get an unparalleled view of the concert with top amenities. Pressboxes are usually on the top levels, so for fans wanting a closer seat, SoFi also offers field cabanas. These are field-level suites with all-inclusive food and beverage options. The catch is that they are quite pricey and can range from $25,000 to $80,000 for around 24 guests.

Fine dining with a show

When you find yourself hungry at a concert, you don’t expect to be savoring a homemade chicken pot pie casserole. Most of the time the options are limited to overpriced fries, burgers and sodas. However, venues are stepping it up by including gourmet dining in their luxury concert packages.

Crypto.com Arena, previously named the Staples Center, offers premium guests exclusive access to restaurants overlooking the arena. Fans can dine comfortably at Yaamava’ Club by San Manuel and indulge in lobster or sushi while watching the performance. Guests in luxury suites can order from an exclusive menu and get steak flatbread and champagne delivered right to their room — no more standing in long, crowded lines.

Exclusive backstage access

The ultimate dream for any concertgoer is to meet the artists and get a behind-the-scenes look at the show. This experience is only reserved for a select few who can afford backstage access, which can cost from hundreds to thousands of dollars, depending on the popularity of the artist. These packages often include guided tours, meet and greets and the opportunity to watch soundchecks.

For example, Paul McCartney’s front-row package can cost up to $2000, which includes perks like priority check-in, a pre-show reception, exclusive merchandise, soundcheck and collectible items. For someone with star status like Taylor Swift, whose ticket prices for regular seats are already above average, VIP packages can get expensive even with limited features. Taylor Swift’s most expensive package for her recent tour is $899 before tax and fees. This package includes a floor seat and a few pieces of merchandise, but no meet and greet. Regardless of the price, it seems like dedicated fans are willing to spend whatever it takes to get close to their favorite star.

Designated chauffeur service

Getting to a concert can often feel like a nightmare. Drivers get stuck in long lines of traffic, especially when trying to leave after the show and those commuting have to deal with hoards of other concertgoers on public transit. Instead, people resort to riding in style by booking a luxury chauffeur service.

Fans are opting for limo services with state-of-the-art audio systems, allowing them to blast tunes on the way to the venue and get the rock star experience. This will likely cost hundreds of dollars, but you are sure to arrive at the concert on time and stress free.

Perks for an unforgettable night

Some fans are willing to pay top dollar for access to high levels of comfort and luxury, even if it’s just for one night. For a pretty penny, you get to enjoy private suites with all-inclusive buffets, meet world-renowned artists and even pull up to the venue in a limo. These perks can transform an ordinary concert into an unforgettable night, and every dollar will be worth it, especially to see your favorite artist in action with a cheese quesadilla in hand.
