Celebrity Cruises is already taking reservations for a ship that won’t sail until 2028. Celebrity Xcite, the sixth ship in its Edge Series, opened for booking Nov. 3, and Celebrity has mapped out where its first guests will go.

Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, said: “The Caribbean is our guests’ favorite place to vacation. Whether it’s a long-awaited island getaway or a spontaneous weekend escape, we are creating new and fresh ways for guests to experience the region with Celebrity Cruises.”
Xcite sails 7-night trips from Miami
Xcite is the sister ship of Celebrity Xcel. Chantiers de l’Atlantique is building it in Saint-Nazaire, and Celebrity announced the ship’s name and the start of construction in October 2025.
The debut season features seven-night Caribbean trips from Miami, with rotating itineraries that stop at places such as St. Thomas and Antigua. Celebrity says guests can unwind on white-sand beaches and explore natural wonders such as The Baths at Virgin Gorda.
Celebrity’s Caribbean lineup grows with Xcite
Bethge said Xcite’s debut, along with “more Edge Series ships in the Caribbean than ever before,” means the 2028 and 2029 season “gives guests more ways to experience the destinations they love.” Celebrity calls the schedule its most expansive Caribbean lineup yet, with departures from four Florida ports.
Xcel offers six- and eight-night trips from Fort Lauderdale to the Southern and Western Caribbean. On board, guests can immerse themselves in The Bazaar, an experience Celebrity says brings each destination’s culture and flavors to life.
Celebrity Silhouette’s eight- to 12-night summer sailings make up the cruise line’s first full summer season in the Southern Caribbean, according to Celebrity. Stops include Barbados, Saint Lucia, Martinique and Grenada.
Celebrity Beyond adds weekend getaways
Celebrity says Celebrity Beyond will offer the first short sailings for an Edge Series ship, with nine three-night weekend getaways from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas, running November 2028 through March 2029. Beyond’s newest experiences include Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol, which debut on board in November 2026.

Beyond’s eight- to 11-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale include six Panama Canal journeys. Celebrity Eclipse also has weekend getaways from Fort Lauderdale, and Celebrity Summit has four- to five-night sailings from Miami.
Sailings go on sale in stages
Sailings for winter 2028-2029 went on sale Nov. 3, and summer 2028 sailings follow on Dec. 9. Guests can book through a travel advisor or at celebritycruises.com, and Celebrity takes phone bookings at 1-888-751-7804. Anyone who wants to see Xcite’s itineraries and compare them with Celebrity’s other Caribbean sailings can start on the site.
