Three cheese-focused food holidays hit the calendar this month, and Applebee’s is treating the timing like its own mini season. The chain kicks off Friday, Sept. 18, with a one-day deal for National Cheeseburger Day. From there, it rolls straight into National Queso Day on Sept. 20 and National Quesadilla Day on Sept. 25.

The timing lines up with a menu item Applebee’s already added this year: the O-M-Cheese-adilla Burger. It’s a mashup of the chain’s Quesadilla Burger and its O-M-Cheese Burger, built around bacon, Pepper Jack, and a skillet of queso and melted cheddar. With three cheese holidays falling in the same three-week window, Applebee’s gets three separate chances to put that burger back in front of customers.
The Actual Deals
On National Cheeseburger Day, Applebee’s is selling a Classic Cheeseburger or Classic Burger with fries for $8.99, and you won’t need a promo code. The deal covers dine-in and pickup through the Applebee’s app or website, though it doesn’t apply to third-party delivery. The O-M-Cheese-adilla Burger is dine-in only, and it’s part of the chain’s 2 for $25 menu alongside one appetizer and another entrée.
The Full Cheese Lineup
The three-holiday run leans on a handful of America’s reliable guilty pleasures, and Applebee’s built a menu around all of them. Cheeseburgers get their own day first, then queso and quesadillas take over for the back half.

- National Cheeseburger Day (Sept. 18): $8.99 for a Classic Cheeseburger or Classic Burger with fries, dine-in or app/website pickup. One day only.
- National Queso Day (Sept. 20) and National Quesadilla Day (Sept. 25): The O-M-Cheese Burger, the O-M-Cheese-adilla Burger, and the new O-M-Cheese Chicken Nachos all lean on the queso theme, dine-in only. Applebee’s calls its original Quesadilla Burger the inspiration behind the O-M-Cheese-adilla.
What It Adds Up To
For anyone who likes cheese, the back half of September gives plenty of chances to use it. The $8.99 burger deal gets things going Friday, and the queso menu sticks around for two more holidays after that. It’s a good excuse to swing by more than once this month.
