  1. I walked straight up a 45 degree unpaved road on the island of New Guinea to a Filipino woman’s home in that jungle mining town–to eat Lumpia and then to buy and take some home. I learned to love them. I’ve made them over the years but love this recipe and all these Filipino recipes you have offered. Thank you.

    • Lumpia is undoubtedly worth walking up a steep hill for! It was always the first thing to go at the annual Filipino picnics I used to go to. Pancit is #2 on my list of Filipino favorite foods.
