Some side dishes do a lot of the heavy lifting on nights when I already have enough to figure out for dinner. I love them because they go with almost anything, use simple ingredients, and help round out the meal without making me overthink it. That means less decision fatigue, less stress, and a much easier time getting dinner on the table.

Creamy cheese sauce, tender broccoli, and buttery crackers on top make dinner feel a lot more complete without much extra thought on my part. It is warm, easy, and one of those sides I lean on when the main dish is doing the bare minimum. I keep coming back to it because it gets vegetables on the table in a way nobody argues with.

I love having a side like this because it works with soups, roasts, simple chicken, or whatever else ended up being dinner.
