Holland America’s 2026 Alaska season is winding down, but if you’ve been eyeing an Alaska cruise, the line already has next summer mapped out. It’s a big one, too: 2027 will be its 80th year exploring Alaska, and the plans include new cruises and a bigger lodge near Denali National Park.

The cruise line’s ties to Alaska go back to before Alaska was even a state. Today, you’ll find fresh local seafood on every Alaska sailing, and the line says it’s the only one that lets you combine a cruise with a visit to the Yukon. Beth Bodensteiner, Holland America’s president, said all those decades help it create experiences that let guests “connect with the state in meaningful ways.”
6 Ships Will Sail Alaska Next Summer
Holland America has six ships heading to Alaska from April through September 2027. You’ll find Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam and Zaandam sailing from Seattle, Vancouver and Whittier, Alaska.
The line is also planning exclusive celebrations and special culinary moments for the anniversary.
The New and Returning Cruises to Know About
One route is new for 2027, and a 28-day Arctic voyage is coming back. Here’s what’s on the schedule.

- The new eight-day Alaska Inside Passage cruise sails roundtrip from Vancouver. You’ll visit Glacier Bay and call at Skagway and Ketchikan, plus Prince Rupert in British Columbia.
- The 28-day Legendary Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice cruise returns for a third year. Noordam leaves Seattle on June 6, in time for the summer solstice. It sails to the Bering Sea and into the Arctic Circle before returning to Seattle.
- Noordam also sails a seven-day Great Bear Rainforest cruise that pairs Alaska with more wildlife and the rugged nature of British Columbia. Zaandam has two sailings of the 18-day Great Bear Rainforest & Alaska Explorer.
Holland America’s Denali Lodge Is Getting Bigger
Holland America will wrap up renovations at its Denali Lodge in 2027. Two new guest buildings will replace older structures and add 72 rooms of capacity.
You’ll also see redesigned interiors and public spaces in the Main Lodge. Grizzly Grind, the lodge’s coffee shop, is getting a full renovation.

Some changes are already done. Chef Ethan Stowell redesigned the lodge’s menus this past season and brought more local ingredients and flavors to its eateries.
If the Arctic Circle trip caught your eye, put June 6, 2027, on your calendar. Not ready for four weeks on a ship? The new eight-day Inside Passage cruise still gets you to Glacier Bay, and you’ll be back in Vancouver in about a week.
