At Costco, Kettle Brand shares a chip bag with Kirkland Signature, the warehouse club’s own label. Kettle Brand slices the Krinkle Cut chips thicker than its classic kettle chips and seasons them with one ingredient. Its brand manager has a short answer for why the recipe stops there.

Pink Himalayan salt is the lone seasoning on these chips. “Krinkle Cut has always been about that big, hearty crunch, and pink Himalayan salt keeps the flavor simple so the potato can do the talking,” said Matt Venturella, senior brand manager at Kettle Brand. The company makes the chips from whole potatoes.

Where to Find the 32-Ounce Bag

Costco sells the Krinkle Cut Kettle Chips in a 32-ounce bag, which equals 2 pounds of chips. Its product page lists 32 one-ounce servings per bag.

Kettle Brand says the chips are available only at Costco warehouses nationwide and online through Instacart. The company pitches the bag for tailgates and holiday gatherings.

How Much a Bag Costs Right Now

From Oct. 26 through Nov. 8, the chips cost $4.49 at Costco, $2 below the regular $6.49 price. The regular price varies by region, according to Kettle Brand, so the tag at your warehouse may show a different number. “Teaming up with Kirkland Signature lets us bring a share-size bag at a great value to Costco members right as football season heats up and holiday hosting kicks off,” Venturella said.

What Goes Into the Bag

Like every Kettle Brand chip, these follow the company’s Natural Promise: non-GMO, gluten-free and batch-cooked in kettles. Costco’s listing also shows a Non-GMO Project Verified certification for the chips.

A 1-ounce serving supplies about 5% of the daily value for sodium and 12% for fat, according to the nutrition label on Costco’s site. The same page warns that the processing equipment also packages products that may contain milk.

No Warehouse Trip Required

Instacart orders get the same $2 off as warehouse purchases, so a bag can reach your door before the next watch party. Order by Nov. 8 to get the lower price. If the chips don’t win over the crowd, Costco’s product page says it refunds shoppers who aren’t satisfied with a Kirkland Signature product.
