Halloween season isn’t here yet, but Howl-O-Scream just made it a lot harder to wait. The event is about to unleash its biggest reveal yet, turning two of Sony’s most talked-about horror movies into haunted houses you can actually walk through. SeaWorld and Busch Gardens just gave fans a reason to start counting down the days.
Both films are being licensed for a Halloween event for the first time ever, and the timing lines up with Howl-O-Scream, the haunted house event already running at five parks across the country. Fans of the original 1997 slasher and the killer-snake thriller are about to get a version of each story they can actually walk through, surrounded by the same fog, screams and jump scares that made both movies stick around this long.
‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ comes to SeaWorld
SeaWorld Orlando, SeaWorld San Diego and SeaWorld San Antonio are all getting the same new house this year: “I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch.” It’s built around the original Southport massacre from the movie, with guests walking through recreations of some of the film’s most memorable scenes. All three parks debut the house on Sept. 11.
‘Anaconda’ slithers into Busch Gardens
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is opening “Anaconda: Fear Has No Escape,” while Busch Gardens Williamsburg debuts “Anaconda: Dead on Arrival.” Both are set deep in the Amazon, where guests join the search for a missing film crew that quickly turns into a fight to survive. Like the SeaWorld houses, both premiere Sept. 11.
If you’re planning to check any of this out, now’s the time to book. Ticket deals are already live at all five parks, and they won’t last through the whole season.
