New York City is getting its Disney cruise ship back. After four years away, Disney Cruise Line is sending the Disney Wish home to the city that never sleeps. You’re also getting new ports most cruisers have never seen on a Disney sailing before.
The Disney Wish wraps its first season in Europe, then crosses the Atlantic to settle into New York for a run of fall voyages. From there, it heads toward ports the fleet hasn’t touched in years, plus a couple it’s never called on at all. If a Florida-only itinerary has kept you from booking a Disney cruise before, this season gives you a real reason to look again.
Disney’s Newest Ship Makes Its Long-Awaited New York Comeback
The Disney Wish arrives in New York in late September 2027. It’s Disney Cruise Line’s first sailing from the city since 2023, according to the full itinerary announcement. From there, you can book four- to seven-night trips to Bermuda, Boston and up into Canada, timed right as the fall foliage peaks.
Five of those sailings stop in Bermuda. Three of them stretch the visit an extra day, so you get more time on the island.
Where the Rest of the Fleet Is Sailing This Season
New York isn’t the only place picking up new Disney itineraries. Here’s where the rest of the fleet is sailing if you want more options:
- Panama gets its first Disney visitors. The Disney Magic crosses the Panama Canal twice this season. It stops in Fuerte Amador near Panama City on the eastbound trip, then in Colon on the westbound trip next spring.
- San Juan gets more sailings. The Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy are both adding Puerto Rico departures. That means more Caribbean routes that don’t start in Florida.
- Port Canaveral becomes a three-ship hub. The Disney Destiny joins the Wish and Treasure there in November 2027. It’s the ship’s first season calling the port home after opening in Fort Lauderdale.
- Holiday sailings are back. Halloween on the High Seas starts in September. Very Merrytime cruises bring back the tree lighting and a Santa visit in November and December.
Early booking opens Aug. 31, 2026, for Castaway Club members, with general booking following on Sept. 8.
