Four Points by Sheraton has opened a beach resort in Ao Nang, a busy tourist district on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand’s Krabi province. At the resort’s kids’ club, the activities include cooking classes and Thailand’s own combat sport, which isn’t just for kids here.

The resort sits steps from Nopparat Thara Beach, and Ao Nang’s shops and main pier for long-tail boat trips are close by. Marriott’s Brad Edman, a regional vice president whose territory includes Thailand, said the resort is a convenient new option for families and couples, with easy access to Railay Bay and the Phi Phi Islands.
Four Points’ First Resort in Krabi
Four Points by Sheraton Krabi Ao Nang Beach Resort has 173 rooms and suites. If you’re flying in, Krabi International Airport is about 16 miles (26 kilometers) away. It’s the first Four Points in Krabi province and the brand’s fourth in Thailand, according to the company.
Rooms With Bunk Beds and Pool Access
Rooms and suites range from 398 to 947 square feet (37 to 88 square meters), and some come with partial sea views.
Pool-access rooms let you step off your terrace and straight into the lagoon pool. Family rooms have bunk beds for kids.
If you’re celebrating something, the Penthouse Suite has a private plunge pool overlooking the Andaman Sea.

Muay Thai for Kids and Their Parents
The company calls the resort’s kids’ club one of the largest in the area. It has its own children’s pool, plus indoor and outdoor activities that include kids’ cooking classes and kids’ Muay Thai.
Parents get their own Muay Thai training area, and if that’s not your thing, there’s a 24-hour fitness center.
Kritchanut Phramthong, the resort’s general manager, said the staff looks forward to welcoming “travelers of all ages, from couples to young explorers.”
Breakfast by the Sea and Thai Craft Beer
The Mesh, the resort’s all-day restaurant, serves a breakfast buffet overlooking the sea. At lunch and dinner, the menu covers Thai and international dishes, plus live cooking stations.
The resort has three bars, and Island Bar is the one you can swim up to in the lagoon pool. Waves Bar, the lobby lounge, serves light bites and daytime drinks.
Through the brand’s Best Brews program, you can also try local Thai craft beers, including Andaman Phuket Dark Ale, Chalawan Pale Ale and Chatri IPA by Full Moon Brewworks.
Your Stay Starts at Checkpoint
Check-in begins with Checkpoint, the brand’s arrival experience, which brings in cultural elements as part of the welcome. After that, take your first day slow with a walk along Nopparat Thara Beach and an afternoon at the kids’ club. Save the long-tail boat trip to the islands for your second day.
