Laughlin, Nevada, is a resort town on the Colorado River, and the desert nearby holds something you won’t find on the casino floor. A set of stone labyrinths sits tucked into the Mojave Desert, close enough to visit while you’re in town.

Laughlin’s new “Keep It Floaty” campaign promotes the town as an easygoing getaway and puts unexpected twists on familiar resort experiences. It asks you to trade a packed schedule for room to wander, and it says you can come as you are and go with the flow. In the campaign, the central character floats through a resort restaurant on a lounge chair, then cruises across a casino lobby on a jet ski.
Laughlin’s Stone Labyrinths Sit Near Thomas Edison Drive
The town sits 90 miles south of Las Vegas, and you’ll find the nearby Laughlin Labyrinths hidden just off Thomas Edison Drive. The collection has nine stone mazes that range from 25 to 55 feet, and it includes an octagon at 36 feet and a square at 33 feet.
Follow the Greenway Trail to Davis Dam
You can take in the desert along the Colorado River Heritage Greenway Trail, which runs 10.5 miles. The route winds past unusual rock formations and native wildlife before it ends at the historic Davis Dam.
Spend a Day on the Colorado River
On the Colorado River, you can choose a slow glide or a fast ride. London Bridge Jet Boat Tours runs trips from Laughlin to the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The tours operate seasonally, so check the schedule before you go.

Laughlin River Tours also offers an evening dinner cruise on the river. Docks at the riverfront resorts rent jet skis and kayaks if you’d rather steer yourself.
Nelly and Lil Jon Play Laughlin Tomorrow
You can catch hip-hop artists Nelly and Lil Jon at the Laughlin Event Center tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 24. Country singer Bailey Zimmerman follows on Saturday, Nov. 14. Those shows kick off a run of live events through the holidays.
The season continues with “The Nutcracker Ballet” at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino on Thursday, Dec. 10. “Cirque Musical Holiday Wonderland” plays Edgewater Casino Resort on Saturday, Dec. 12. Both are among Laughlin’s eight riverside resorts, which offer spas and private cabana pools.
If you play golf, bring your clubs, since Laughlin has six courses in the area, from desert dunes to riverfront views. Its tourism materials say the area gets more than 300 sunny days a year. Save a morning for the labyrinths and an afternoon for the fairway, and leave the rest of the trip open.
