Silversands Beach House sits along a secluded part of Grenada’s Portici Beach, and its suites sit at staggered heights on the cliffside so each one gets expansive, uninterrupted views. As of Sept. 22, though, you’ll need to be at least 16 to book one.
ORA Hospitality announced the switch to adults-only that day, and the policy took effect right away. The resort opened in 2024 and quickly drew couples, solo travelers and groups of friends looking for a design-focused escape on the Grenadian coast. Going adults-only, the company says, lets the resort better serve guests who want privacy and a more intimate stay.
Tripadvisor Already Ranks It Among the World’s Best
Silversands Beach House is a 2026 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best winner. Only hotels in the top 1% worldwide on the platform get that designation, so you’re looking at a pretty short list.
The resort credits its attentive, personalized service for the honor, which came about two years after it opened.
A Small Resort Along the Cliffside
Just 28 accommodations make up the adults-only resort, and each one comes with a canopied outdoor terrace. Inside, you get floor-to-ceiling windows.
Indoor and outdoor living blend together here, according to the resort. It says the goal is a secluded stay for every guest.
What You’ll Find Beyond the Suites
On site, Azzurro mixes Italian cuisine with a Caribbean touch. There’s also an outdoor gym if you’d rather work out in the Grenadian breeze.
The Wellness Room tailors its treatments to each guest’s needs.
For resort manager Clarista Hillaire, the focus is “tranquility and a sense of privacy.” She said the adults-only change moves the team closer to its goal of a restorative retreat for adults on the Grenadian coast.
Traveling With Kids? Head to Grand Anse Instead
If you’re traveling with younger kids, the sister property is still an option. Silversands Grand Anse sits a short shuttle ride away on Grand Anse Beach, and it’ll keep welcoming travelers of all ages.
Both resorts belong to Silversands Collection Grenada. Grand Anse has 43 suites, eight private villas, a Kids’ Club, a spa and several restaurants.
Its villas range from 5,000 to 6,000 square feet, and the resort calls its 100-meter pool the longest in the Caribbean. You’ll also find a cigar and rum lounge there.
If a trip without the kids has been on your list, Grenada has direct flights from several U.S. cities. Just check the age rule before you book the Beach House, since everyone staying there needs to be 16 or older.
