Why you’ll love Turks and Caicos

Turks and Caicos has the most gorgeous ocean, with color I have never seen anywhere else and soft sand beaches to match. Whether you’re a beach bum, an underwater explorer or a nature enthusiast, there’s something for everyone.

Turks doesn’t host as many all-inclusive resorts as some Caribbean locations like Punta Cana or Aruba, but you’ll love the options. Turks has only one adults-only all-inclusive resort, and all others are family-friendly.

If you’ve never been to an all-inclusive resort, this is the perfect place to indulge your vacation dreams.

Is Turks and Caicos a single island?

Turks and Caicos is actually an archipelago in the Caribbean Sea that consists of 40 islands and cays. Only some are populated.

Located southeast of the Bahamas and north of the Dominican Republic, the archipelago is a British Overseas Territory. Most all-inclusive resorts are located on the island of Providenciales, which is also home to the main international airport.

Make sure your beach packing list has plenty of sunscreen, and get ready for the vacation of a lifetime.

Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages & Spa

This family-friendly resort on Providenciales’ gorgeous Grace Bay is my home away from home. And while it is the family-friendly side of the Sandals brand, I love my annual girls’ trip here with no kids.

Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages & Spa offers a myriad of accommodations, from cozy suites to lavish villas, and some rooms include butler service. Note that butlers and the spa are the only places you can tip at Beaches, so put away your wallet.

I love to watch kids enjoy the Sesame Street-themed activities, while teens hang out at the waterpark, the Xbox Play Lounge or Club Liquid at night.

The five themed villages make the resort look big, yet it remains utterly walkable. I love that Beaches includes everything from snorkel trips to sail lessons on Hobie Cats to diving for certified divers.

I spend my days floating in the lazy river, partaking in the swim-up bars and enjoying the 21 restaurants. While many love Sky, my favorite restaurant is the adults-only Sapodillas.

The Palms Turks and Caicos

The Palms Turks and Caicos, also on Providenciales, is an oasis of luxury and serenity, perfect for families seeking an upscale retreat. The magnificent suites and penthouses offer ample and stylish space.

Relax by the infinity pool while kids have a blast at the Conch Kritters Club. For family bonding, take a Hobie Cat sailboat out on the turquoise waters or explore the marine life while snorkeling.

With attentive service, delectable dining options and a beautiful beachfront location, The Palms creates a magical experience for the whole family.

Club Med Turkoise

Club Med Turkoise offers the only adults-only all-inclusive resort in Turks. Located on Providenciales, this resort is a playground with plenty of fun activities.

From rejuvenating yoga classes to thrilling water sports like windsurfing and sailing, you’ll never be bored. Lounge by the pool with a cocktail or dance the night away at the vibrant nightclub.

With a range of rooms and suites to suit different preferences and budgets, Club Med Turkoise ensures a blissful vacation in the heart of paradise.

Alexandra Resort

On the island of Providenciales, Alexandra Resort offers a blend of relaxation and adventure. The spacious suites and penthouses provide comfortable accommodations with stunning ocean views.

Alexandra is part of the Turks and Caicos Collection along with Blue Haven and Ambergis Cay. Guests staying at the Alexandra and Blue Haven can use amenities and enjoy dining at both resorts, with a shuttle going between them.

Lounge by the pool or take a dip in the calm ocean. Like many resorts in Turks, they offer a range of included water sports, from kayaking to paddleboarding, or venture out on a snorkeling excursion.

You’ll love the local flavors at Asú on the Beach. Its family-friendly atmosphere and activities make Alexandra Resort an excellent choice.

Blue Haven Resort

On the northeastern coast of Providenciales away from Grace Bay, Blue Haven Resort offers a luxurious and serene escape. The elegant suites and penthouses boast contemporary decor and mesmerizing views.

Relax by the infinity pool or unwind at Elevate Spa. Delight in the variety of activities from deep-sea fishing to kiteboarding, or enjoy a day of island hopping with the complimentary boat shuttle to explore the nearby islands.

The resort’s signature restaurant, Fire & Ice, serves delectable dishes complemented by an ocean view. Don’t forget, guests also have access to dining at the Alexandra.

Ambergris Cay

The third member of the Turks and Caicos Collection, Ambergris Cay Resort is located on the private island of Ambergris Cay. Accessible only by boat or a short flight from Providenciales, this private island resort promises a secluded vacation.

The luxurious suites and villas exude Caribbean elegance and offer direct access to pristine beaches. When you’re looking for extreme high-end luxury, this is the resort to book.

Indulge your choice of activities, from exploring the island’s diverse flora and fauna to enjoying a round of golf on the resort’s Greg Norman-designed golf course. With personalized service and a stunning setting, Ambergris Cay Resort ensures an idyllic retreat.

Pine Cay Resort

Tucked away on the private island of Pine Cay in Turks and Caicos, Pine Cay Resort offers an exclusive and intimate experience. With its limited development and commitment to preserving the island’s natural beauty, you’ll enjoy a serene and unforgettable vacation.

Pine Cay Resort typically arranges transport for guests, either by boat or by charter flight from Providenciales. You can also provide your own transportation, as the island of Pine Cay has both a dock and a private airstrip.

Pine Cay Resort is the sole accommodation on the island and has only 12 beachfront rooms and two private villas, ensuring a personalized atmosphere.

Unwind in a hammock or participate in various watersports ranging from kayaking to stand-up paddleboarding. The resort doesn’t have a dive center on-site, but they can arrange for SCUBA excursions, along with boat charters, island-hopping adventures and snorkeling trips.

Final Thoughts

Turks and Caicos is hands down my favorite vacation destination. It’s a tropical paradise that caters to all travelers, from families seeking fun-filled adventures to adults craving a serene and luxurious escape.

Whether you’re splashing in the waters with the little ones or savoring cocktails by the pool, Turks and Caicos guarantees an unforgettable vacation that will steal your heart.
