A ghost pepper dip and a Blizzard Treat with a purple shimmer share the same Halloween menu, and DQ says it’s the first time it’s ever done this. The collection also includes a plush keychain in mystery packaging, so you won’t know which design you got until you open it.

The Spellbound Series, as DQ calls the collection, is a limited-time lineup built around bubbling brews and bold new heat. The company invites customers to embrace the season’s magic with all their senses. An enchanted Blizzard Treat rounds out the menu.
What’s on the Spellbound Series Menu
The series started Sept. 28 and runs through Nov. 1, according to DQ. Three items make up the menu.
- Bubble Brew DQ Sparkler: Blood orange and lemonade meet sparkling water over ice, topped with cold foam. DQ says the more you stir it, the more it bubbles and foams.
- Enchanted OREO Blizzard Treat: OREO cookies and a sweet, ube-flavored base blend with DQ soft serve and an enchanted purple shimmer.
- Ghost Pepper Sauce: DQ describes the heat in the dip as fiery and smoky. It pairs with a four-piece Chicken Strip Basket, which comes with fries and Texas toast.

How the Mystery Blizzard Buddies Work
Mystery Blizzard Buddies are collectible plush keychains that cost $4 with any purchase at participating U.S. DQ locations. Each one comes in mystery packaging, so the design stays a surprise.
Five designs draw on Blizzard Treats: Blizabeth, Flip, Blenda, Brrrnie and a rare golden one named Goldie. DQ says Goldie holders score Blizzard Treats for a year.
The Goldie prize comes through a sweepstakes with no purchase necessary, and the official rules include a free mail-in option. DQ limits the prize to one per customer per transaction. Entrants must be 18 or older and DQ Rewards members, and legal residents of the U.S. or Canada, except in Texas and Quebec.
Sweepstakes Ends a Day Before the Menu
Buddies sell only while supplies last, so check that your local DQ is participating before you go. The sweepstakes ends Oct. 31, a day before the Spellbound Series ends on Nov. 1, and free mail-in requests must be postmarked by Oct. 31 as well. That leaves about a week to try the Sparkler or the Ghost Pepper Sauce.
