What’s ahead for Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity Cruises enters its 2027-2028 season with a global outlook and a renewed focus on slower-paced, in-depth travel. Featuring more than 175 itineraries and over 180 destinations across Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, Japan, Canada and New England, the cruise line is expanding access while encouraging more intentional exploration.
“With unforgettable itineraries that span the globe, guests can discover incredible destinations while enjoying the unrivaled hospitality Celebrity Cruises is known for,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “Our 2027-2028 sailings provide incredible destination experiences to both first-time cruisers and cruising veterans.”
Europe: Mediterranean, Arctic and beyond
Celebrity Cruises’ 2027-2028 Europe season offers travelers more time to experience the richness of the region. Guests enjoy seamless routes, off-season charm and longer stays that make every port feel like a full stop.
Mediterranean without the rush
The Celebrity Xcel will return to Europe for its second Mediterranean season, with back-to-back sailings connecting Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Greece and Turkey. Guests can experience multiple countries in one seamless journey, with no need to rebook or switch ships. The itineraries maximize time ashore while showcasing the Mediterranean’s full flavor.
Longer days, deeper stays
Seven ships, including Celebrity Ascent, Infinity and Apex, will sail Europe with more than 60 overnight stays and 115 port visits, each lasting 12 hours or longer. These longer calls allow guests to slow down and enjoy Europe’s food, art and neighborhoods without rushing back to the port. Off-season sailings to Greece, Morocco and the Canary Islands also give travelers the chance to explore with fewer crowds and cooler weather.
Northern routes reimagined
For her fourth season, Celebrity Apex will return to Southampton with Arctic Circle and Norwegian Fjord itineraries, giving guests access to dramatic coastlines and once-in-a-lifetime northern views. Celebrity Silhouette then sails from Reykjavik to offer round-trip journeys through Iceland’s waterfalls, glaciers and fjords. Celebrity Eclipse starts from Amsterdam with routes to Ireland, Norway and Denmark.
Alaska and Hawaii: Nature at every turn
With longer Alaska sailings and one-way routes to Hawaii, this season prioritizes depth and discovery over speed. Guests have time to hike, linger and explore on land or by sea.
A longer look at Alaska
Celebrity Edge leads the way in Alaska with an extended fourth season, offering more opportunities to sail through glacier-fed fjords and visit coastal towns. Celebrity Solstice and Summit join the cruise, operating from West Coast ports like Seattle and Vancouver.
Inland views with Cruisetours
For tourists who want to go beyond the shoreline, Celebrity’s Cruisetours offer multi-day land extensions into Alaska’s rugged interior. These guided experiences include overnight stays in remote lodges and scenic journeys by train and highway. Guests will visit places like Denali and Talkeetna to gain a fuller understanding of the region’s landscapes and local culture.
Hawaii one way
Hawaii-bound travelers can choose open-jaw sailings that begin or end on the U.S. mainland, giving them more time to explore the islands without backtracking. These routes showcase Hawaii’s natural beauty, from rainforest trails and black sand beaches to volcanic peaks and coral reefs.
Asia and Japan: Culture-focused cruises
Celebrity Cruises’ Asia offerings highlight centuries of heritage and contemporary influences, with itineraries built around festivals, food and iconic cities. Thanks to overnight stays and region-spanning routes, travelers experience urban life and quiet traditions.
Tokyo returns as a hub
Celebrity Millennium is set to return to Tokyo’s Narita terminal, offering travelers a convenient starting point for city exploration. Its upcoming itineraries include overnight stays in Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe and Aomori, timed to align with some of Japan’s most celebrated festivals.
Festival-timed sailings
Several itineraries coincide with Japan’s biggest festivals, including Kyoto’s Gion Matsuri and Aomori’s Nebuta Matsuri, giving travelers a front-row seat to centuries-old traditions. These sailings also take a broader regional approach, connecting Seoul and Tokyo on open-jaw routes with stops at Jeju Island, Fukuoka and Mount Fuji.
Australia and New Zealand: Scenic coastlines
Celebrity Edge and the newly refreshed Celebrity Solstice return to the South Pacific with itineraries stretching from Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and Kangaroo Island to New Zealand’s wine regions. These routes highlight the area’s diverse natural beauty while offering a relaxed pace of travel. Overnight stays in Adelaide and Cairns allow guests to explore local food, culture and coastal life.
Canada, New England and Bermuda: Coastal classics
In these North Atlantic itineraries, fall colors and heritage ports anchor the journey, while double overnights in Bermuda add a tropical twist. Guests can revisit familiar coastlines with more time to linger.
Fall colors and coastal charm
Celebrity Silhouette will sail 11-night cruises from Boston, tracing a route along the historic coastline with stops in New England’s beloved port towns. The itinerary includes an overnight in Quebec City, where cobblestone streets and French-Canadian cuisine await.
Bermuda, without the clock
Departing from Cape Liberty, New Jersey, these sailings offer double overnights in Bermuda, giving travelers more time on the island. From pink sand beaches and underwater reefs to local art and architecture, guests connect with the island at a gentler pace.
Sailing slower, seeing more
With its 2027-2028 season, Celebrity Cruises is charting a course for travelers who want to connect to their dream destinations. Late-night tapas in Spain and festival lights in Japan highlight how each itinerary encourages guests to explore at a slower pace. This season is about staying long enough to experience the joy of traveling in full, and that’s the kind of journey Celebrity Cruises is making room for.
